SARVANI PATHSHALA

Malala Yousafzai has rightly said that, ‘One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world’. In February 2020, schools in India got shut because of the emergency response to Covid 19 Pandemic. Since then, many children, every day are getting a step farther from education. The situation is even worse for kids from under-resourced communities as they cannot adapt to the new virtual mode of learning. When our Founder Drishti Kharbanda observed this learning loss, she decided to start her own home school named Sarvani Pathshala. The idea behind was simple:

Yes, we cannot bring students to schools because of the situation but that doesn’t mean we cannot bring learning closer to them. Currently, there are three teachers who teach 75+ children- divided into three groups of junior, secondary and senior classes. Here, kids not only get academic learning but, through different workshops such as drawing, dancing, yoga and more, they also get an exposure to the world of art and meditation. Children also learn about language, values, mindsets, and the world around them in this happy Pathshala of their own. The smiles on these little innocent faces can surely tell that they have got their magic beans in this Pathshala.
